Talley’s is proudly New Zealand owned and operated. We run six deep sea fishing vessels with primarily Kiwi crews bringing the best New Zealand seafood to the world. Right now, we’re looking for someone to join our longline vessel for a trip on the FV Janas as the Second Engineer for the annual Antarctic toothfish trip.
About the role
The successful applicant must hold a minimum of a MEC5 (or equivalent) Ticket and at least 1 years’ experience on similar vessels.
In this role you will take direction from the Chief Engineer and be responsible for carrying out watch keeping duties, maintenance of the ship's machinery, equipment and structure.
This is a position that works on average a 12-hour day, seven days a week for the duration of the voyage (four months). This schedule will be determined and may be subject to change.
