About the role

We are looking for Trainee Boiler Operator to join the team at our Ashburton plant.

You will be reporting to the Boiler Team lead.

The pay rate ranges from $29.80 to $33.80/hr, based on experience and qualifications.

You will be working on a shift roster pattern of 4 ON 4 OFF, 12-hour shifts and will be either working on day or night shift based on the team requirement. A night shift allowance of $20 per shift will be paid for any nights worked.

As a Trainee Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Keeping the Boiler and associated equipment in good working condition, minimising downtime.
  • Assisting and working according to the instructions from the Boiler Team Lead and Maintenance Manager.
  • Being a point of contact for day-to-day operation and maintenance issues.
  • Health & Safety and food compliance at work

Who are you?

You are a self-starter looking for a new adventure. You have a positive attitude, enjoy working hard and are honest, reliable, and willing to learn.

For this role, you’ll need:

  • Boiler operator experience
  • Level 3 National certificate – Boiler Operation, or ability to obtain
  • Computer literacy
