About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance engineer to join the team at our Westport plant.

Hourly rate ranges from $30.00 - $50.00, based on your experience and qualification.

You will be guaranteed 40 hours of work per week + overtime as required.

As a Maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day maintenance of the plant and machinery equipment
  • Ensuring the production downtime is kept minimal
  • Keeping daily contact with branch manager
  • Following health and safety/food safety procedures
  • Engaging with other site engineers and contractors
  • Record keeping

Who are you?

You are a self-starter looking for a new adventure. You have a positive attitude, enjoy working hard and are honest, reliable, and willing to learn. Specialist training will be supplied where needed.

For this role, you’ll need:

  • Relevantly Qualified (or a good level of experience)
  • Eager to upskill in other areas
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Prioritise work and be organised
  • Strong knowledge on food hygiene and health and safety
  • Limited Electrical knowledge would be an advantage

Advanced knowledges in some of the following would be beneficial but not essential:

  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Pumps
  • Stainless steel fabrication
