About the role

We are hiring for Seafood Process Workers to join our team for the mussel season.

As a Seafood Process Worker, your tasks may include:

• Manual handling of product
• Operation of processing machinery
• Monitoring of food safety and quality of product
• Blanching of mussels
• Packing mussels
• Opening mussels
• Training of new staff and leading a team (when trained and competent)

Full training available.

Pay

Rates range from $24.00 - $25.51.

Contract piece rates apply when opening mussels, with estimated actual earnings of over $28 per hour for an 8.5 hour day with an average of 11,000 mussels. You are guaranteed to be paid at least $24.00 per hour.

Who are you?

• You are a self-starter looking for a new adventure. You have a positive attitude, enjoy working hard and are honest, reliable, and willing to learn.
• Reliable transportation is a requirement.

On-site training provided. Seafood processing qualifications/experience advantageous, but not required. You may be subjected to an English comprehension test.
