About the role

We are looking for a Shift Boiler Operator to join the team at our Ashburton plant.

Based on your experience and qualifications, your pay will range from $33.80 - $46.80 per hour.

You will be working on a shift roster pattern of 4 ON 4 OFF, 12-hour shifts and will be either working on day or night shift based on the team requirement. A night shift allowance of $20 per shift will be paid for any nights worked.

As a Shift Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving instructions from the Maintenance Planner / Engineering Manager / Head Boilerman or others as the business requires.
  • Being a point of contact on all day-to-day steam supply issues for the production equipment, and any other services equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with company documented procedures and business rules.
  • Ensuring all work is accompanied by the correct work request paperwork, and all information.
  • Ensuring all work is completed and reported with the correct reporting paperwork.

Who are you?

You are a self-starter looking for a new adventure. You have a positive and proactive attitude, enjoy working hard and are honest, reliable, have attention to detail and are willing to learn.

For this role, you’ll need:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Energy and Chemical Process Operations (Level 4)
  • Must understand and work to the ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System and ensure that all activities and information are documented and available upon request.
