A Vessel Designed for the Future of Sustainable Fishing.

Voyager

We’re proud to announce the launch of Voyager, our new state of the art factory trawler currently under construction by renowned Spanish shipbuilder Nodosa.

Recently launched at the Nodosa Shipyard in Spain, the vessel is now entering the final stages of construction, including interior fit out and sea trials.

At 79 metres in length with a 15.5 metre beam, Voyager will become the largest vessel in the Talley’s fleet and will operate primarily within New Zealand waters.

Developed in close collaboration with Talley’s and Nodosa’s technical team, the vessel has been designed and built to meet the highest modern standards of energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, operational safety and crew welbeing.

Voyager features advanced onboard processing systems designed to optimise product quality from catch through to final distribution, while also improving operational efficiency at sea.

Sustainability has been a key focus throughout the design and build process, with systems designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, alongside energy efficient technologies and a highly automated processing plant that supports efficient onboard operations.

The vessels hydrodynamic hull design has been carefully engineered to deliver excellent seakeeping performance and operational efficiency, supporting safer and more effective operations in a wide range of ocean conditions.

The launch of Voyager represents another important step in Talley’s ongoing investment in innovation, sustainability and the future of New Zealand’s seafood industry.

We look forward to sharing further updates as construction progresses.
