About the role

Our Blenheim branch has vacancies for an Industrial Site Electrician at our Land Based plant to deliver on-site electrical and maintenance services. This site services the Shellfish, and Vegetable operation along with a large Coolstore operation.

This is a full-time role, rostered, with a minimum of 40 hours each week.

You will work within a diverse and constantly changing operating environment, to install, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment, including 3-phase motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics. You will become part of a small but skilled team that strive to deliver a high standard of workmanship and skillset.

Based on your experience and qualifications, your hourly rate will range from $40 - $50

Who are you?

Our ideal applicants will be:

• NZ registered as an Electrician or hold a Limited Certificate as an Electrician from the Electrical Workers Registration Board and at least two years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to prioritise work and work well under pressure
• Well-presented, tidy and reliable

Advanced knowledge in the following would be beneficial:

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and plans
• Motors and motor starters
• Variable Speed Drives
• PLC centres and PLC diagrams
• Refrigeration and control
